Commentary:
Dialogue: Cheesy! This is obviously the scriptwriter’sfirst movie-making foray.
Vampires: Traditional or Not? An updated version of Transylvania’s”hometown hero.” All the trappings apply.
Vampires: Physical Appeal: The ultimate ’80s vampire–suave, sexy, and impeccably attired. How can we, mere mortal females, resist? Gore Factor: Several rivulets of blood grace thebare backs of the vampire’s nubile victims. The producers couldonly afford two graphic death scenes, or so it seems.
Scariness/Suspense: The campy humor drowns out any blood-poundingscenes.
Target Audience: ’80s, ’80s, ’80s! Anyone who still wearsIzod golf shirts with the collar up will love this.
