Modern horror not only transcendsthe use of traditional “monsters”–it also incorporateselements of other movie genres such as comedy, drama, sci-fi,and fantasy. We wanted to examine the evolution of horror moviesin the ’80s and ’90s, so we chose five films that we feel bestrepresent this phenomenon.
